is a petite dark brown Chessie with a lot of style and energy whether she is
running in the field or swimming in the water.
She competes in AKC and UKC hunt test events and has fun doing them. She
has competed in an AKC field trial also. Nellie currently has 2 out of 4
Finished passes in UKC HRC Finished tests. When she isn’t competing she is our
family and hunting companion. Nellie hunt’s upland birds and waterfowl, making
sure she gets all the birds even if she has to take them away from her father.
She is a calm devoted girl with a need to please attitude. She has a strong
desire in training and never gives up. She warms the hearts of those she meets
with her gentle and calm disposition. She comes from field and show lines with
many titles in her pedigree. "Tiny" is
a fun, hardworking retriever, easy to train and handle with the style to go with
it. He has an explosive water entry while retrieving, and the drive to go long.
Tiny competes in AKC and UKC hunt test events, and has AKC Master and UKC
finished passes. Along with his great work ethic in the field Tiny is also a
real people dog and is liked by everyone who meets him. Tiny is a dark brown
Chessie with a thick wavy coat, Excellent hip rating with OFA and normal Elbow
rating. He comes from field and show lines with
many titles in his pedigree. Nellie and Tiny’s
puppies will be raised in the house. They will be well socialized with other
dogs, adults and children. We will be introducing them to ducks and pheasants,
loud noises and water if the weather is permitable. They will be examined by a
Veterinarian: dewclaws removed, appropriate vaccinations, fecal examinations,
dewormer given, DM tested, microchipped, and any other medical care they may need. Puppies will come with
a written health guarantee plus a puppy kit full of helpful information for
raising your new pup. Nellie had her puppies on 12/09/09. She had 2 males and 4 females. All are doing very well. They will be able to go to their new homes 2/06/10. John & JoAnn Stancer

NEW One of the puppies from Norman & Sterling's 5/11 litter is going to the UK to represent Sand Spring. I will be co-owning MARIE with a field trial trainer/handler. Stay tuned for updates. Marie is in the UK!

2/28/10 The girls, Norman & Nellie after their pheasant hunt!
March 2011, JoAnn and Lynne went on a tower shoot
at Cedar Hill game farm. Here is a video of our hunt. Bob Webster from Marsh Creek Outdoors came out to Sand Spring Chesapeakes to film an episode for an upcoming outdoor show. The show is going to talk about Sand Springs breeding program, training and running UKC & AKC hunt test events. A mock hunt test scenario will be shown. It will air on JATV.
